The Hertfordshire Regiment - 1918

Military Historian and Battlefield Dan Hill will join us t through the incredible experiences of the 'Hertfordshire Regiment' in 1918, the final year of the Great War. Dan, who leads the Herts at War Project, will tell the story of this final year of war from a local perspective, including using previously unseen documents and artifacts, uncovered over the last few years.

Good Morning, Lords & Ladies

An illustrated talk on some of the more unusual English customs with songs and pictures presented by Gill and Barry Goodman. Gill and Barry have been involved in the folk scene since 1971 and have experienced or been involved with many of the customs featured in the presentation. Gill has been a volunteer at the Hitchin British Schools Museum since 2007 and Barry is a folk singer, songwriter and musician.

Blood Runners

SERV (Service by Emergency Response Volunteers) provides free transportation of blood, blood products, samples, equipment, medicines and other patient essential items to and from hospitals and hospices. These services are provided by a team of volunteers including riders, drivers and controllers 365 nights a year and all day at weekends and bank holidays.
